algu&#233;m que escreve olhando direto para aquilo que normalmente evitamos nomear - o desejo, Deus, a morte, a solid&#227;o, a fome de sentido.</p><p>Falar de Hilda nunca &#233; simples, porque ela n&#227;o cabe numa defini&#231;&#227;o elegante, ela incomoda demais para isso. Isso me leva a pensar que talvez esse seja o motivo dela ter passado tantos anos &#224; margem, enquanto escrevia algumas das p&#225;ginas mais vertiginosas da literatura brasileira.</p><p>Hoje, algo radical para sua &#233;poca: abandonou a vida social intensa da capital e se isolou voluntariamente na famosa <em><strong>Casa do Sol</strong></em>, em Campinas. Ali, escreveu quase tudo. </p><p>Poeta, dramaturga, cronista e romancista, ela nunca separou literatura de exist&#234;ncia. Escrever era uma forma de investiga&#231;&#227;o espiritual, uma tentativa quase obsessiva de responder perguntas enormes como em: <em>Poemas Malditos, Gozosos e Devotos</em>, diz:</p><blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Deus?<br>Uma superf&#237;cie de gelo ancorada no riso.&#8221;</strong></p></blockquote><p>Em <em>A Obscena Senhora D</em>, a personagem Hill&#233; vive praticamente mergulhada nessas mesmas perguntas: Deus, carne, desejo, salva&#231;&#227;o numa inquieta&#231;&#227;o quase f&#237;sica:</p><blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Procuro-te. Onde est&#225;s?<br>No corpo? Na palavra? No nojo?&#8221;</strong></p></blockquote><p>Durante d&#233;cadas, foi considerada &#8220;dif&#237;cil&#8221;, &#8220;excessiva&#8221;, &#8220;escandalosa&#8221;. Hoje sabemos: ela estava muito &#224; frente de seu tempo. </p><h1>A poesia de Hilda: quando o sagrado encontra o corpo</h1><p>Ler Hilda &#233; perceber que espiritualidade e desejo nunca estiveram separados. Ela escreve sobre Deus com erotismo. Sobre o amor com desespero filos&#243;fico e, sobre a morte com intimidade.</p><p>Um dos trechos mais bonitos e devastadores que est&#225; no livro <a href="https://www.touchelivros.com.br/jubilo-memoria-noviciado-da-paixao/">J&#250;bilo, Mem&#243;ria, Noviciado Da Paix&#227;o</a>: </p><blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Se te pare&#231;o noturna e imperfeita<br>olha-me de novo.<br>Porque esta noite<br>olhei-me a mim, como se tu me olhasses.&#8221;</strong></p></blockquote><p>H&#225; algo profundamente humano nisso: a necessidade de existir no olhar do outro.</p><p>Um trecho menos citado, mas que aparece como uma das obsess&#245;es dela, isto &#233;, o que <strong>n&#227;o acontece</strong>, mas continua vivendo dentro do corpo. Ela sentia demais. ignorada pelo mercado editorial e pela cr&#237;tica, Hilda decidiu provar um ponto: dizia que, no Brasil, s&#243; pornografia vendia. Ent&#227;o escreveu a chamada <strong>tetralogia obscena</strong>, livros deliberadamente provocativos, ir&#244;nicos e filos&#243;ficos ao mesmo tempo.</p><p>Ela passou d&#233;cadas escrevendo poesia, teatro e prosa altamente sofisticados, profundamente metaf&#237;sicos, filos&#243;ficos e experimentais, mas, apesar do reconhecimento cr&#237;tico, ela se queixava de <strong>pouco p&#250;blico leitor</strong>. Ela mesma declarou, em entrevistas, que queria testar o mercado editorial. O filme/document&#225;rio <strong>Hilda Hilst Pede Contato</strong>, dirigido por Gabriela Greeb, mistura elementos reais (document&#225;rio) e ficcionais/po&#233;ticos<strong>,</strong> revisita sua vida, seus arquivos e a atmosfera quase m&#237;tica da Casa do Sol.</p><p>O filme ajuda a entender algo essencial: Hilda n&#227;o era apenas escritora,  era  tamb&#233;m uma experi&#234;ncia humana radical. Talvez o mais impressionante seja perceber que Hilda escreveu, durante toda a vida, como quem chama algu&#233;m do outro lado. Ap&#243;s uma queda que provocou fraturas, a poeta esteve internada, mas recebeu alta em 8 de fevereiro, e j&#225; est&#225; de volta &#224; sua casa, em Divin&#243;polis (MG). A not&#237;cia atravessou leitores como um abra&#231;o coletivo: Ad&#233;lia vive. Foi o luto que abriu a linguagem. A poesia veio como quem tenta conversar com a aus&#234;ncia.</p><p>Pe&#231;o licen&#231;a para dizer que isso tamb&#233;m atravessa a minha hist&#243;ria.</p><p>Eu escrevi um livro depois da morte da minha m&#227;e, em 2021. J&#225; escrevia antes - tinha uma p&#225;gina no Facebook onde guardava muitos desses textos -, mas foi um ano ap&#243;s sua partida que encontrei coragem para transform&#225;-los em livro.</p><p><em>Sozinha</em> nasceu assim: como um conjunto de ensaios escritos ao longo de anos. O t&#237;tulo veio da sensa&#231;&#227;o que me acompanhava desde a perda, como se eu estivesse, de repente, sozinha no mundo. O livro foi a forma que encontrei de conversar com a aus&#234;ncia dela - e, ao mesmo tempo, dar voz a um desejo antigo.</p><p>Outro ponto da hist&#243;ria de Ad&#233;lia que conversa com a minha - explico logo mais - &#233; de que o reconhecimento dela foi tardio. Ad&#233;lia tinha mais de 40 anos quando foi descoberta por Carlos Drummond de Andrade. Talvez por isso sua obra carregue essa maturidade rara, esse olhar de quem j&#225; viveu bastante antes de virar literatura. </p><p>Para o mestre em Literatura Brasileira e Doutor em Literatura Comparada, <strong>Evaldo Balbino, </strong>especialista e pesquisador da obra de Ad&#233;lia Prado desde 1998, a maturidade po&#233;tica de Ad&#233;lia era peculiar: </p><blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Ela j&#225; nasceu madura aos 40 e poucos anos quando publicou o primeiro livro. Antes disso, j&#225; escrevia em jornais, revistas, antologias. Ela escreve como quem fala com o vizinho, mas deixa a alma exposta.</p><p>Confesso que me identifico muito com ela tamb&#233;m por isso. Talvez porque eu tenha chegado aos 40 carregando sonhos que ainda pedem lugar. O reconhecimento de Ad&#233;lia veio depois dessa idade - e, de algum modo, isso conversa com a fase em que me encontro agora.</p><p>Fui professora, psic&#243;loga. Hoje estou no &#250;ltimo ano de Jornalismo. Em breve, vestirei oficialmente essa palavra: jornalista. Uma profiss&#227;o rec&#233;m-chegada &#224; minha vida, mas que j&#225; me atravessa inteira. <strong>f&#233;, erotismo e literatura.</strong></p><p>Ad&#233;lia &#233; profundamente cat&#243;lica, mas sua espiritualidade nunca foi moralista. Deus aparece em seus versos ao lado do desejo, do suor, da carne. Ela acredita que o corpo tamb&#233;m reza. Talvez venha da&#237; essa presen&#231;a t&#227;o viva quando l&#234; seus poemas, essa maneira inteira de dizer verso, como quem habita cada s&#237;laba. O teatro ensinou Ad&#233;lia a ocupar o sil&#234;ncio, a pausa, o olhar. A poesia tamb&#233;m ganhou gesto.</p><h3>Ad&#233;lia vive</h3><p>Seu &#250;ltimo livro, <em>Jardim das Oliveiras</em> (2023), &#233; um livro de despedidas suaves, nele Ad&#233;lia escreve sobre envelhecer, esperar, silenciar. &#201; uma obra atravessada pelo tempo lento, como se cada poema fosse uma janela. Woolf para o cinema: a refer&#234;ncia de <em>Mrs. Dalloway</em> em <em>As Horas</em> e o filme <em>Orlando</em>.</p><p>H&#225; livros que pedem sil&#234;ncio e h&#225; livros que pedem imagens. Virginia Woolf parece pertencer aos dois. Sua escrita nunca foi feita para a adapta&#231;&#227;o f&#225;cil - ela acontece por dentro, no fluxo, naquilo que quase n&#227;o se v&#234;. N&#227;o &#233; uma adapta&#231;&#227;o direta de um romance da escritora, mas um filme constru&#237;do a partir do eco de <em>Mrs. Dalloway</em>. Tr&#234;s mulheres, tr&#234;s tempos, um &#250;nico dia - e a pergunta silenciosa que atravessa todas elas: como seguir vivendo quando o mundo insiste em pesar?</p><blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Ela sentia que viver, mesmo por um &#250;nico dia, j&#225; era algo extraordin&#225;rio.&#8221;</strong></p></blockquote><p>O filme entende algo essencial em Virginia: a vida n&#227;o acontece nos grandes eventos, mas nos intervalos. No preparo do caf&#233;, na caminhada pela rua, no instante em que o pensamento se desvia. A c&#226;mera n&#227;o corre; ela observa. E, ao fazer isso, transforma o cotidiano em algo quase sagrado. <em>As Horas</em> n&#227;o adapta Woolf - ele a escuta.</p><p>J&#225; <strong>Orlando</strong> (1992), dirigido por Sally Potter, faz outro movimento. Aqui, a literatura vira corpo, figurino, gesto. Orlando atravessa s&#233;culos sem envelhecer, muda de g&#234;nero, muda de &#233;poca, mas carrega sempre a mesma pergunta sobre <strong>identidade e perman&#234;ncia</strong>. O filme abra&#231;a o jogo, o humor sutil, a ironia elegante de Woolf. Olha para a c&#226;mera, quebra a quarta parede, lembra o espectador de que tudo ali &#233; constru&#231;&#227;o - inclusive quem somos.</p><div class="pullquote"><p>&#8220;N&#227;o somos feitos de uma s&#243; subst&#226;ncia; mudamos constantemente.&#8221;</p></div><p>Se <em>As Horas</em> &#233; um filme sobre o peso de existir, <em>Orlando</em> &#233; um filme sobre a liberdade de se reinventar. Seus livros ensinam os filmes a desacelerar, a escutar o invis&#237;vel, a aceitar que nem tudo precisa ser resolvido. <em>As Horas</em> e <em>Orlando</em> mostram que adaptar Woolf n&#227;o &#233; traduzir palavras em cenas, mas transformar sensa&#231;&#245;es em imagem.</p><p>Virginia Woolf continua acontecendo. Toda vez que algu&#233;m entende que a vida n&#227;o &#233; uma sequ&#234;ncia de l&#226;mpadas perfeitamente alinhadas - mas um fluxo irregular de instantes que, filmados ou escritos, ainda insistem em pulsar. </p><p>Enquanto escrevia esse &#250;ltimo par&#225;grafo me lembrei de uma frase de Susan Sontag que retrata bem essa ambiguidade do que &#233; composta a vida. Ela diz:</p><blockquote><p><strong>"A maturidade envolve aprender a suportar a ambiguidade."  </strong></p></blockquote><p>Talvez seja isso que o cinema aprende com Virginia Woolf: a aceitar que a vida n&#227;o se organiza em linhas sim&#233;tricas, nem no papel, nem na tela. Ela &#233; feita de ambiguidade, de instantes que se contradizem, de pensamentos que avan&#231;am e recuam ao mesmo tempo. <em>As Horas</em> e <em>Orlando</em> n&#227;o tentam resolver essa tens&#227;o - eles a preservam. Filmam o que escapa, o que n&#227;o se fixa, o que s&#243; existe enquanto passa. E talvez seja por isso que continuam t&#227;o vivos. Me conta: voc&#234; j&#225; assistiu a algum desses filmes? Era um enigma vivo, uma mulher que transformava o banal em abismo existencial e que, com sua prosa cortante e po&#233;tica, desafiava conven&#231;&#245;es, normas e at&#233; a pr&#243;pria compreens&#227;o do que &#233; literatura. </p><p>Nascida na Ucr&#226;nia em meio &#224; persegui&#231;&#227;o antissemita, chegada ao Brasil ainda beb&#234; em 1922, Clarice construiu uma vida marcada por perdas precoces, migra&#231;&#245;es, casamentos, viagens diplom&#225;ticas e uma solid&#227;o profunda que transbordava em suas p&#225;ginas. Mas por tr&#225;s da imagem m&#237;tica da &#8220;bruxa da literatura brasileira&#8221; - como alguns amigos a chamavam -, escondiam-se pol&#234;micas, sil&#234;ncios e contradi&#231;&#245;es que poucos ousavam explorar abertamente em vida. e migra&#231;&#227;o</strong></h4><p>Clarice nasceu em 1920 na Ucr&#226;nia, durante a fuga da fam&#237;lia de judeus perseguidos na Guerra Civil Russa (1918-1921). O pai, Pinkhas, era um homem humilde, comerciante, que decidiu emigrar para sobreviver ao antissemitismo, pogroms e viol&#234;ncia - o av&#244; de Clarice foi assassinado, e h&#225; relatos de traumas graves na fam&#237;lia, incluindo na m&#227;e Mania (que morreu em 1930, quando Clarice tinha 10 anos). Eles chegaram ao Brasil em 1922, quando Clarice tinha cerca de 1 ano e 2 meses, primeiro em Macei&#243; e depois em Recife. Pedro incentivou as filhas a mudar de nomes para se integrarem (Pinkhas &#8594; Pedro, Mania &#8594; Marieta, Haia &#8594; Clarice). Ele era autorit&#225;rio e r&#237;gido, mas tamb&#233;m valorizava a educa&#231;&#227;o e a leitura. Clarice aprendeu a ler cedo e come&#231;ou a escrever ainda crian&#231;a, influenciada pelo pai, que a incentivava a estudar e a se expressar.</p><h4><strong>A admira&#231;&#227;o e o conflito</strong></h4><p>Clarice expressava gratid&#227;o pelo pai em textos e cartas. Em uma cr&#244;nica <a href="https://cronicabrasileira.org.br/cronicas/12670/banhos-de-mar">"Banhos de mar", publicada no Jornal do Brasil em 1969</a> e reunida em "Todas as cr&#244;nicas", ela recorda mem&#243;rias felizes de idas ao mar com ele na inf&#226;ncia, em jejum, como uma tradi&#231;&#227;o que ele impunha, mas que para ela representava expectativa e alvoro&#231;o. Ela o via como algu&#233;m que a ensinou a distinguir "pessoas verdadeiras" das que "n&#227;o s&#227;o pessoas". Eis uma frase dela do livro <em>A Descoberta do Mundo</em>:</p><blockquote><p> "<strong>Sou grata ao meu pai por ter me ensinado cedo a distinguir entre aqueles que realmente nascem, vivem e morrem, daqueles que, como pessoas, n&#227;o s&#227;o pessoas"</strong>.</p></blockquote><p>Por outro lado, o pai era descrito como autorit&#225;rio e opressivo, o que gerava tens&#227;o. Em cartas e relatos biogr&#225;ficos (como na biografia de <em>Benjamin Moser, "Por que este mundo", e em textos de Teresa Monter</em>o), h&#225; ind&#237;cios de uma rela&#231;&#227;o ambivalente: ele era r&#237;gido, talvez por traumas da migra&#231;&#227;o e da pobreza, e isso influenciou temas recorrentes na obra de Clarice, como opress&#227;o, busca por identidade e rela&#231;&#245;es familiares conturbadas como por ex: em contos de "La&#231;os de Fam&#237;lia".</p><p>Em carta a Fernando Sabino, Clarice recorda a afirma&#231;&#227;o do pai de que, caso escrevesse um livro, narraria a hist&#243;ria de &#8220;um homem que percebeu que perdeu o rumo&#8221;. Ao pensar nisso, ela confessa ter experimentado uma &#8220;dor f&#237;sica insuport&#225;vel&#8221;, revelando o grau intenso de sua identifica&#231;&#227;o afetiva com essa imagem.</p><h4><strong>A morte do pai e o impacto </strong></h4><p>Pedro morreu em 1940 aos 55 anos, quando Clarice tinha 19 anos, durante o in&#237;cio da carreira liter&#225;ria dela. Isso a deixou &#243;rf&#227; cedo, pois a m&#227;e j&#225; havia morrido em 1930. A perda intensificou sua introspec&#231;&#227;o e pode ter alimentado a tem&#225;tica de aus&#234;ncia, perda e busca existencial em obras como &#8220;Perto do Cora&#231;&#227;o Selvagem&#8221; em 1943, seu romance de estreia.</p><p><em><strong>Em resumo</strong></em><strong>: o pai foi uma influ&#234;ncia positiva, pois a incentivou &#224; leitura/escrita, valores &#233;ticos e, de certa forma, negativa, atrav&#233;s do autoritarismo, rigidez, criando uma rela&#231;&#227;o de amor conflituoso que ecoa na literatura dela - repleta de personagens em busca de si mesmos, lidando com opress&#245;es internas e externas.</strong></p><h2><strong>2. Pol&#234;micas Liter&#225;rias </strong></h2><p>Falar de Clarice Lispector &#233; falar de pol&#234;mica - mas n&#227;o no sentido raso do esc&#226;ndalo. As controv&#233;rsias que cercam sua obra dizem respeito, sobretudo, ao <strong>impacto disruptivo de sua escrita</strong>, que deslocou expectativas, dividiu cr&#237;ticos e redefiniu os rumos da Ele revisita a recep&#231;&#227;o inicial de <em>Perto do Cora&#231;&#227;o Selvagem</em>, romance de estreia publicado quando Clarice tinha apenas 23 anos, e mostra como o livro provocou um verdadeiro abalo cr&#237;tico. Houve entusiasmo - compara&#231;&#245;es com Virginia Woolf e James Joyce, elogios que falavam em revolu&#231;&#227;o est&#233;tica -, mas tamb&#233;m resist&#234;ncia. Parte da cr&#237;tica acusou o texto de hermetismo, excesso de influ&#234;ncia estrangeira ou mesmo pretens&#227;o. Clarice, curiosamente, se incomodava com essas compara&#231;&#245;es: &#224; &#233;poca, mal conhecia Woolf ou Joyce.</p><p>A pol&#234;mica n&#227;o diminuiu com o tempo - apenas mudou de tom. Em <em>A Paix&#227;o Segundo G.H.</em>, publicada em 1964, Clarice leva sua escrita ao limite. Um enredo m&#237;nimo - uma mulher, uma barata, um quarto - serve de gatilho para uma experi&#234;ncia radical de linguagem, identidade e dissolu&#231;&#227;o do eu. O livro chocou leitores e cr&#237;ticos: para alguns, uma obra-prima existencial; para outros, um texto &#8220;incompreens&#237;vel&#8221;, excessivamente abstrato, quase um del&#237;rio. Sexualidade velada, misticismo n&#227;o religioso, nojo, corpo e transcend&#234;ncia formavam um conjunto dif&#237;cil de digerir para o p&#250;blico conservador da &#233;poca. A solid&#227;o fazia parte de sua rotina - em parte escolhida, em parte imposta pelas circunst&#226;ncias  e atravessou boa parte de sua vida adulta, mesmo quando seu nome j&#225; circulava com for&#231;a no meio liter&#225;rio.</p><p>Ap&#243;s o div&#243;rcio do diplomata Maury Gurgel Valente, em 1959, Clarice voltou definitivamente ao Rio de Janeiro com os dois filhos, Pedro e Paulo. O casamento, que durou 16 anos, a havia levado a longas temporadas fora do Brasil - Su&#237;&#231;a, Estados Unidos e outros pa&#237;ses - em um cotidiano que ela frequentemente descrevia como ex&#237;lio. Longe das irm&#227;s e do c&#237;rculo intelectual brasileiro, sentia-se deslocada, desenraizada, como se estivesse sempre fora de lugar.</p><p>De volta ao Rio, n&#227;o buscou exatamente reaproxima&#231;&#227;o com o mundo.
